The Beginning of another great year at Lodge Heart of Midlothian No. 832.

Bros. Adam Brock and Kevin McGuigan, the Installing Masters, performed a fantastically executed installation for friend & Brother, David Baird. It is David's third term in the chair and as a passionate, experienced & knowledgeable Brother there is none more deserving than he.

We were honoured with the presence of Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Ewan Rutherford and Grand Secretary Kenneth Brown as well as many visiting brethren from sister Lodges within and without the Province of Edinburgh and our good friends from The Dudley Lodge No. 5425 in the Province of Northumberland E.C.

The Festive board that followed was an exceptional one with a very informative toast to Lodge Heart of Midlothian No. 832 by Brother Robert Philips P.M. Lodge Colinton and Currie No. 1029. We were also spoilt for choice with the musical talent demonstrated throughout the evening, on guitar we had Brother John Hardie P.M. Lodge St. Clair No.349, Vocals from Brother Malcom MacRae P.M. Lodge Canongate Kilwinning No. 2, Bagpipes and Clarinet from our very own Bro. Colin Shearer and Bro. Calum Robertson, respectively.

A truly great night was had by all and to RWM David Baird all the best in the forthcoming year.

19th February 2013

A night of both celebration & solemnity was had as we re-dedicated our war memorial followed by Brother David Dobie being awarded his Diploma from The Grand Lodge of Scotland. We performed a poignant re-dedication of the war memorial aided by a wonderful service from Bro. Rev Ray Williamson. With special thanks to our landlords at Lodge Caledonian 392 we were able to re-erect the memorial after it had been stored away since moving from our old premises at Murieston Crescent. Once our re-dedication was complete, Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Bro. Ewan Rutherford had the pleasure of presenting Brother David Dobie with his Diploma as Honorary Grand Almoner. A great achievement for Bro. Dobie & a proud moment for Lodge Heart of Midlothian.
